Financial planning is a young profession. I have long lamented on the lack of training for financial planners – most is obtained haphazardly through on the job experience. My coworker and I wrote this article for Kitces.com on how we can develop residency programs in finance just like we have residency in programs in medicine. It is high time we take this profession to the next level.
